FAQ

What am I receiving when I purchase?

Upon purchasing, you will receive a direct download for your image(s). Each file is 12x12 in. at 300 dpi in RGB color mode. We provide them as .jpg and .psd files so that you can choose the design software to work in.

What software do I need?

We recommend using Adobe Photoshop to utilize the Smart Object functionality. Linking files you create in other programs like Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign will create fluidity and efficiency in your process flow. After opening the Smart Object Layer, simply use the Place Linked File functionality (Found under: File > Place Linked) to place your design document into the Photoshop Smart Object. By using Linked Files, the Smart Object layer will automatically check for any updates made to the linked file when it's opened.

What are Smart Objects?

Smart Objects are layers that contain image data from raster or vector images, such as Photoshop or Illustrator files. Smart Objects preserve an image’s source content with all its original characteristics, enabling you to perform nondestructive editing to the layer.

You can scale, rotate, skew, distort, transform or warp a later without losing original image data or quality. You can edit one smart object and automatically update all its linked instances.

What can I do with these images?

Once you overlay your artwork into the images, you can share them on social media platforms as well as use them on your business website. You can also use these high-resolution images for print advertising to showcase your offerings. Please do not post or share the original images that do not incorporate your designs.

Can I edit the image?

Yes! While we retain the copyright to the original images, we encourage you to edit them to blend seamlessly into your brand aesthetic. You can edit the colors to align with your color theme. You can rotate and crop images to highlight specific items in the stationery suite. This gives you even more content from a single image.

Do I have to give you image credit?

While it’s always nice to get a little shout out, it’s not necessary. We understand the nature of these mockup photos: to represent your work in a way that looks all your own. Although you don’t have to give The Prince & The Proper image credit/attribution, please do not make any claims that you created the images.
